{Keira is seen in the gym, wearing her gym gear as she is wailing on the punching bag. It had been months since she had intense training, even with being a part timer and taking care of her and Roxi's son, Nate. The final punch knocks the bag off the chain and crashes against the brick wall}
Roxi – What in the world?
{Keira turns and notices Roxi at the door}
Keira – Oh, Hey, Roxi
{Keira begins to get confused}
Keira – Something wrong, baby?
Roxi – Hey, yeah, you really can't train like that anymore Keira, you've got to relax. Things have changed now.
Keira – I know, baby. But I haven't trained in months. I was going light
{Keira turns to the bag and sighs}
Keira – Guess me going light...is too much.
Roxi – If you're going to train like that, you have to go to the gravity room. This ring here is for appearances. We train people here.
Keira; I'm sorry, Roxi.
Roxi – It's okay, I just laid Nate down and he's asleep again, but you just gotta relax. Why are you training this hard anyway?
{Keira sighs as she looks at Roxi}
Keira – I've been seeing Twitter alot lately. Seeing new people coming into feds.
{Keira clenches her right fist}
Roxi – So, what's the matter?
Keira – It's been fueling me...
Roxi – Oh...
Keira; I'm sorry, Roxi. I know. I got responsabilities here.
{Keira hugs Roxi}
Roxi – Hey... it's okay. It's natural to feel the itch again
Keira – It's just seeing all these new people. It fueled me, Roxi. Made me want to train again
{Keira smirks a bit}
Keira – Let me go shower since you put Nate into bed
Roxi – Okay, I understand you wanna keep in shape and all that, it's great, just... gotta remember your own strength sweetcheeks
Keira – Don't call me Sweet Cheeks. I hate that and you know it.
{Keira sticks out her tongue}
Keira – Now. Shower time
{Keira smiles as she walks off. A few days later, Keira is seen feeding Nate his bottle as she smiles}
Keira – That's it. Drink all your Moo Moo. Be big and strong like your mommy!
Roxi – Moo-Moo?
Keira – Mhmm! I'm trying to give him simple words
{Keira looks at Roxi}
Keira – You got a better one?
Roxi – How about just... bottle. He's not a dog Keira, you can talk to him like he's a person. He'll learn faster that way.
Keira – I'm sorry, but he's still my baby. I don't want him to know too much yet. Plus, he'll only know baby talk
{Keira looks at Nate and smiles as she sees Nate finish the bottle}
Keira – There you go.
Roxi – But he'll learn to actually talk faster if we skip the whole part. But, I know the feeling... I want him to be a baby forever too.
Keira – You're right.
Roxi – Hey... he came from you, you've earned the right to raise him that way
Keira; He's our son. We raise him out way
{Roxi smiles as Keira looks at Nate.}
Keira – Wanna go to Mommy Roxi?
{Roxi takes Nate in her arms and holds him close}
Roxi – It's still hard to believe, even being 3 months.
Keira – Mhmm
{Nate smiles, but he takes his hand and grabs Roxi's hair, pulling it}
Keira – Nate! No! That's Mommy Roxi's hair! Don't pull on it, Nate
Roxi – Ow... ow... you pulling my hair? Are you pulling my hair?
{Roxi winces but giggles}
Roxi; He's okay.
Keira – Ok. I'm still worried about him. I'm afraid he might get as strong as us
Roxi – The doctor said he was normal, but if all else fails... we still have the equalizer if you're still worried about it.
Keira – I know. We'll wait and see
Roxi – For now, let's just enjoy this amazing thing that happened to us.
Keira – Yea
{Keira looks at Nate}
Keira – You think Mommy should go back to wrestling?
{Nate squeals and coos, mostly because Keira is talking to him, but maybe in some way he was answeing}
Keira – Oh, I wish you could talk.
{Keira giggles as she kisses Nate on his forehead}
Keira – Mommy loves you
Roxi – He loves you too, and so do I.
Keira – I love you too, Roxi. But I got to ask
{Keira looks at Roxi}
Roxi – Ask me what?
Keira – Should I go back to Wrestling?
Roxi – It's up to you Keira. I will support you no matter what. I mean, if I lose this championship, I'll be back home much, much more. I don't know where you want to go or do, but... I will always have your back.
Keira – To be honest. You just said it. I kinda want to go to GOL....
{Keira sighs a bit}
Keira – Least for a match.
Roxi – Whatever you want to do Keira, I will always be by your side, supporting you, you know that.
Keira – Talk to whoever at GOL, then
Roxi – You can too you know, let him know you are interested.
Keira – I know. But I wouldn't know what to say.
Roxi – That you want to wrestle.
Keira – Yea.
Keira – I'll tweet them in a day or two
Roxi – Okay
Keira – But til then, you need to focus on your match. With Jack Bitchman...Loserman...Illman. CENTAURMAN!
{Keira thinks for a minute}
Keira – Nah. He's more like Plant Man...or Sheep Man
Roxi – Let me worry about it.
Keira – I'm sorry. I can't help it
Roxi – It's okay.
{Roxi touched Keira’s cheek and then kissed her. She went and sat down with Nate, feeding him his bottle until soon enough he was asleep. Roxi gently got up and laid Nate in his nearby crib as Keira had finished showering and dressed herself as she joined Roxi looking over their son.}
Keira – He’s so amazing.
Roxi – I know.
Keira – I wish you didn’t have to go and wrestle this match.
Roxi – It’s gonna be okay. A brief trip to Mexico is never a bad thing.
Keira – It’s a good thing Nate is old enough to travel, but still, He’s going to miss you.
Roxi – I’m going to miss him.
{Roxi turns to Keira.}
Roxi – And I’ll miss you too. You know that.
Keira – I do.
Roxi – Well, if you’re done with the gym, I think I need to get myself some training in. I don’t wanna be too rusty going into this title defense.
Kiera – It’s all yours.
{Roxi smiled and she and Keira shared a kiss, before Roxi went into the couple’s gym room. Roxi looked around and sighed to herself, and began to stretch.}
Okay…. Let’s do this.
{Fade out.}
Hello my GOL Amigo’s and Amigas!
Yes, It is amazing and exciting to be headed back down south of the border to once again defend my GOL Soaring Eagle championship. It was indeed a welcome break from Christmas time to winning the Christmas Brawl itself a couple of months ago. I have been eager to get back into the ring, but I am certainly getting used to this wrestling once a month business. It really is helping me feel better, and I get to spend more time with my son, who is slowly taking over as my number one priority in life. He’s growing up so fast and it’s both a tremendous and scary feeling at the same time. Here he is, going on 5 months old now, and things are just getting crazy for me. I barely have time to wrestle. I’m starting to live vicariously through watching others wrestle now.
But, I’m not about to sit here and announce my retirement or anything. Far from it. The fact that my son is basically giving me renewed energy all this time and keeping my schedule light, means more action for me into 2017! Oh, and before I forget… and maybe it’s totally late now since we’re a month in, but Happy new year everyone! I know, it’s totally a month late, but hey, it’s the thought that counts right? Ah well. I may be a little behind on things nowadays, but I’m still prepared to defend my Soaring Eagle championship against one Jack Tillman at Hecho En Mexico!
Now, I know a lot has been made lately of me being undefeated in GOL, and I’m proud of that fact. But I don’t come to defend the Soaring Eagle championship against Jack Tillman to simply “Defend a streak.” No, far from it. Streaks are nice, but that has never ever defined my career at all. I’ve gone on winning streaks, I’ve gone on losing streaks. I am sure that one day, right here in GOL, someone will indeed beat me for the Soaring Eagle championship, and break said undefeated streak and it may even boost their career to new heights. Streaks come to an end. They all do. Joe Dimaggio’s hit streak ended at 56. Drew Brees threw a touchdown pass in 54 straight. But sooner or later streaks end. It happens. One day, I’m going to lose this GOL Soaring Eagle championship.
But let me tell you, that it will not be February 5th. And it won’t be against Jack Tillman.
I’ve seen and heard of Jack Tillman a few times. We’ve crossed paths not only in GOL, but in UWF I do believe. And hey, I’m not one doubting the skills of Jack Tillman, he’s a very talented man, with all the tools it takes to get to the top. If what he says is true, then he may have ended the career of my friend Kurt Newman. Which apparently has given Jack some really amount of confidence going into this match, and hey, that’s cool. I don’t want a sad sack coming in here thinking he or she are just a lamb to the slaughter. Jack was impressive his last time out in GOL. He has a right to be confident. But that doesn’t change the fact that I am the Soaring Eagle champion for a reason. Everyone that has stepped up, Angel Kash, Ursula Areano, my good friend AJ, And I’ve stopped every single one of them. It wasn’t easy, it never is. And I don’t expect Jack Tillman to roll over for me. No, I expect him to bring everything he’s got in his tank. Because as I’m sure Kurt would tell him if he were around, I don’t roll over and die because someone says to. Oh no, If Jack Tillman plans on taking this championship from me, and I know he does, he better understand that he is in for the fight of his relatively young career.
Heh, here I am, sounding like the old grizzled veteran at age 30. Jeez, I need to get my act together. I guess it’s really that I have entered parenthood and that changes a lot. But it doesn’t change my drive to compete and to win. It’s that, not a streak, not a championship, not the seemingly expectance of me retaining that bringing me to Mexico to defend this Soaring Eagle championship. Heck, it’s not even the pride in being a champion, well… at least not completely. But moreso, because I still have something to prove around the wrestling world. I’m in hall of fame’s, I’ve won triple crowns, and broke records with reigns, and that’s all well and good. It’s accomplishments that mean a lot to me, but nowhere in my book does it mean that I’m ready to just pass the torch over to others. No. They say 40 is the new 30, and that means 30 is the new 20. Silver is the new gold, stuff like that. I’m rambling here, but the point is, Jack Tillman is not the guy who’s going to end anything of mine at Hecho En Mexico.
Streak, Title Reign, or career. If that’s what he’s aiming for, he’s about to strike out pretty hard on February 5th.
I’m coming to Mexico to prove myself once again. It’s been a long layoff, and now it’s time to get back to work. Jack Tillman can bank on the fact that I’ve been in the gym, I’ve been training, I’ve been studying, I’ve been preparing my gameplan, everything he could ever want in a fight, he’s going to get in Mexico. And I totally mean what I said when I said that one day Jack Tillman could be a top star in not only GOL but the wrestling world. But he’s going to learn the hard way that facing me, while in the long run will be very beneficial to him, I am NO ONE’s stepping stone. He will learn a very long lesson come Sunday. Because trying to break me, is a task no one in 6 years has been able to do.
And Jack Tillman will be added to the list of people who failed at Hecho En Mexico.
I look forward to seeing you all in Mexico again, and giving you the show you deserve. I will see you all there. Good Luck to Jack Tillman, because even Kurt knows, you’re going to need it.
See you all Sunday!
