The screen shows a video package and on the words Boardwalk Wrestling abd the date 10.6.2016 appears in bold letters....
After a brutal fight and with microphone in hand, Julliet looks around the audience who is applauding her performance tonight, wiping the sweat with a smile on her face as she puts the mic to her mouth and speaks.
Julliet Brooks: Thank you, thank you. You know I may sometimes come up short, but you guys always appreciate everything that I give each and every single night. My journey hasn't always been easy. I've had to overcome a lot of struggles, but I'm thankful for that, because of them I would've never because the new me standing before you and I'll carry that new me wherever I go, but the reason I'm still out here is because I'm here to make an announcement.
There is silence as the crowd anticipates what is said next.
Julliet Brooks: I've been in Boardwalk for three years. I've accomplished my dream of making it here despite those who said I would never amount to anything. I had many highs and many lows, but my passion to compete here remained the same. However, there comes a time in life where every great journey must come to an end, and mine has ended tonight. There should be no sorrow shown, but instead as you look back on my timeline I created and say to yourself.. "If she can do it then so can I." So, with that being said it is my honor to say thank you, the fans for your continued support over the years, and also a thank you to everyone I shared a locker room with, and most importantly staff for giving this firecracker a chance. I may return one day, but right now I must bid my farewell. Love you all, and god bless.
She puts down the mic and wipes tears from her eyes. The crowd starts gets a thank you chant going on as she slides under the ring and goes to ringside where she hugs the fans. We watch several tearful hugs and autographs before breaking to commercial.
The video feed then quickly switches to reality where we see an old, worn out building being shown that had been heavily tarnished with graffiti. We get a glimpse around the place and you can tell that it hadn't been used for years now, and it was slowly falling apart. Nearby were the public schools, so the sound of the children's laughter can be heard in the distance. Before the camera could read the knocked over sign that was in front, you could hear the sound of shoes hitting against the dirt. Approaching the location was the self proclaimed Pride of New Mexico herself, Julliet Brooks. She leaned against the building and took in the sights from across the way then her eyes shifted toward the camera and gave an overwhelming sigh as her hands tucked on the buckle of her shorts.
Julliet Brooks: For those who are wondering where I'am right now, I'm in Mexico City. As a little girl my father would take me to Lucha libre events every Saturday night right here in this very arena. Sure it may not look like something now, but back then it was the hottest spot to see the biggest stars compete including my personal favorite at the time, Mascarita Rojo. She defined beauty, strength and charisma. The more I sat through her matches, the more I realized how much I wanted to be just like her. There was even a point in my life where I wanted to meet my idol, my inspiración and tell her the news face to face then one day something happened that will forever change my childhood....
Out from her pocket, she pulls out a wrestling mask. It was red except around the eyes where it was pink and had sequins attached. She stood there staring at it motionless for a good ten minutes before she shook her head quickly, breaking herself from the trance she had fallen into.
Julliet Brooks: It just so happened that dad scored backstage passes from the local radio station. I remember it clearly, because it was on my 10th birthday. I was eccastic, but I wasn't certain I would meet Mascarita Rojo, so I didn't get my hopes up too much. After the event ended, dad led the way backstage. Most of the wrestlers were standing off to the side still in their ring attire. It was as if they were waiting for me. I smiled as each one came up to me, took my piece of paper and signed it then out of nowhere Mascarita came from behind me and gave me the biggest hug. We shared a conversation together. It was a short one, but still memorable. During that conversation I told her I wanted to be like her when I grew up. You could tell she was genuinely interested in what I had to say. After that ended we said our goodbyes, but before we could leave she grabbed my hand and took me to her locker room. While there, she handed me a mask of her's and I left home. What a night..
She examined the mask with her fingers and then knelt down still with her back against the wall.
Julliet Brooks: The mask means everything to me. It's the reason why it's on my wall and if I ever meet Mascarita again I want to thank her for being the reason why I got into wrestling in the first place. In the meantime, I'm going to dedicate my matches to her.
She stood up and hugged the mask like a toodler hugging her favorite teddy bear and proceeded to walk off away from the camera.
-------------------------------------------------
Julliet Brooks: They said I would retire from in ring competiton forever, they also said my passion for this sport died the moment I stepped away, and set my sights elsewhere, but those critics who wrote that in their little article couldn't be more wrong. In fact my love for it only grew stronger and admirable. For once I was able to stand on the outside looking in and weigh my options as to where I'll be making my return, and I couldn't think of a better place to do than Guerreros of Lucha. The most premier company around. There is so much great talent surrounding this place. It was hard to say no, so here I'am entering my first match.
She said with a sigh, running her fingers through her wavy hair.
Julliet Brooks: For those who haven't gotten around to the news, I'm placed in a triple threat match, and with any match it wouldn't be wise of me not to do my research on my opponents, so you know I watched a few matches and studied them like a book. However, I'd be lying to you if I said I didn't know one of my opponents previously although I tried to erase that painful memory from existing in my head. Yes, folks, I'm speaking of the Trillion Dollar Princess herself, Angel Kash. I wouldn't say we were the closest of friends, but we did hang out a few times and frankly Angel and I shared alot of the same attitude. We were both arrogant, selfish, and inconsiderate. Folks that was three years ago. Times have changed, and so have I. See.. I stopped associating with your kind, Angel, because I knew if I didn't I would turn into a miserable cunt like you, so I broke ties and went my own way. Forward to the present time where I not only look at you as my opponent, but rather my new found enemy.
She paused and gave a stern look on her face.
Julliet Brooks: This is a new year which means new opportunities to be made, and I couldn't think of a better way to start the year of right then by beating you into obscurity and sending you back to the street corner where your only worth is a dollar. This isn't the Hamptons where you easily get handed success and money just by throwing your looks around, this is professional wrestling. Since you been in this business as long as you have you would think you would've learned that a long time ago, right? But maybe, just maybe you are waiting for me to give you a proper lesson on how to really earn things the right way. I plan to devour you in my path and leave you with devastation and dispair for all to see. I'm seething with every word. Guerreros of Lucha is about to be shifted to another level and I'll be the sole reason why. Angel, if you thought you knew all there was to know about Julliet Brooks before, think again.
She laughs and flips her hair back off her face.
Julliet Brooks: I've only shown you a small portion of what I'm about. The rest will be revealed when that bell rings and we go toe to toe for the very first time. Now I understand the repercussions I may pay with my actions, but sometimes the risk is worth the reward especially if it means removing you from the equation, or from this company for good. I'm doing you a favor by letting your body rest and your wounds heal in the meantime, but rest assured that when I'm ready I'll reopen those same wounds and perhaps you can look it at as a reason why you should step aside on my path to the top. This isn't bullshit talking, this is serious stuff. Should you take me lightly, or portay me as something I'm not then you'll be held accountable for your own personal failure.
She took the time to get up from her seat and walked forward, turning her back for a brief moment then turned back around and cuffed her hands together.
Julliet Brooks: Last, but certainly not least this brings me to my other opponent, Helena Noir. When I first stepped foot in the building you're the first name that lingered the halls and I can see why. I mean you've held titles from multiple companies and if I'm not mistaken you had an undefeated streak going for you. I give you credit for those accomplishments, but I think you are hyping yourself out too much and your ego is showing. You can either put your ego aside for this one match, or I will have no choice but to tear it apart. I'm not here to hold your hand, I'm just trying to make things simple for you... unless you choose to make it difficult. If that's how you want it then prepare to face the consequences. To some people out there this may be considered a dream match, to me you're just another victim awaiting her defeat. Continue to build your bulletproof skin and sharpen your tongue, I'm ready for anything you decide to throw my way.
She tilted her head back and forth, gathering her thoughts before continuing to speak again.
Julliet Brooks: You want this win more than I do? Prove it. If not you should remain silent and get in back of the line with Ms. Kash there. This is what seperates me, and the rest of the women, and men here, I can talk the talk, and walk the walk and at Hecho en Mexico I will display that for all to witness. Helena, my dear you can try throwing road blocks my way. Hell if you're desperate enough you may try to cheat your way to victory, but your attempts will come up short like how I predict your career looking and I will prevail despite any adversary. The harder each journey is, the more bountiful the rewards are, and I see plenty, but timing is everything. In the meantime I have no problem kicking heads in one victim at a time. Isn't that right, Helena. I wish you would believe me in what I'm saying is the truth. Instead you rather listen fabrication of your own mind, so when you're staring up at the lights and I'm hovering you with my arms raised, don't say I didn't warn you. Your past success will not be repeated. Mark my words. When that smoke clears you both will walk away with the core of your bones shaking in fear.
She reached for her leather jacket out of the chair, threw it over her shoulder and walked off
