"Hey, you wanna know a fact?"
It's the voice of Your Hero and Mine.
"The world is mine." he says with an amount of conviction that makes you, the viewer, believe him. But that's the thing with Mark Storm, no matter what your opinions are about him or what whether you like him or not, what he does very well is make you believe in him. Selling yourself is half of the job, it's the question of whether you can back up those words with what you can do in the ring and so far, he's been able to back up every claim he's made since the turn of the year.
Guerrero's of Lucha played it's part in making the Dogs of War infamous. The Lucha World Cup is their's as well as the trio's championships. As a team, there's not much for them left to accomplish. But individually, there's so much more that they can do in a promotion that gave them a platform and perhaps the main contributor in catapulting them to stardom. For Your Hero and Mine, it's now about dominating the promotion as a singles competitor and he has the opportunity to start that at Chapter Twelve.
"There's no limit. There's no boundary. The only limit and boundary is me and as long as I say there's none, then there's none. I'm the man who's going to decide my destiny and I'm the only man who's able to fulfill it. You know my time here has been a turbulent one. It's been up and down, up and down and most people would leave it. They would pack their bags and move on with their careers but not me. I've made it my plan, my goal, to make this promotion one of the most relevant, one of the most entertaining and one of the most important promotions in professional wrestling today. I plan on doing that, by picking everybody apart and it starts at chapter twelve."
Suited and booted, his championship belt resting on his shoulder and a smile on his face. He stands in front of a GOL logo'd backdrop. He chews his gum relentlessly and takes off his shades and places them in his jacket pocket. He then looks directly at the camera and you can see the cockiness in his eyes. The assurance of himself is there but at the same time, there's also a glimmer of vulnerability. As heroic as he claims to be, he's only human too.
"Honey and Scott Ferguson are just an obstacle that I'm going to have to overcome on my way to the bigger picture. And am I threatened by them? No, and I'll tell you why I'm not threatened."
"As cute and as lovely Honey is, she hasn't got the chops to go head to head against someone like me. She hasn't got what it takes! I'll tell you something about Honey, she cares more about how many smiles she can get in on the camera and how many people like her. For her, this is all exposure. For me, this is my life. Honey wants to be at the top of this promotion but she is not ready, she is not prepared and she is not willing to do what is necessary to make sure that happens. Get off the social media sites, forget about how pretty you look when you walk into that ring and how you make those fans feel! You have to sacrifice everything you are in order to get to the top!"
"Scotty Ferguson, I've seen his type before. The guy with the tattoo and the slick back hair and the cool guy image who probably owns a motor bike or something or a tattoo parlor. Lemme tell you something about guys like Scott Ferguson, they don't last very long. They're a flash in the pan. They're hot for one second and then they're not the next and everybody forgets about them and they become nobodies. Do you think anyone really cares about your shitty magazine article? Do you honestly think that I took time out of my busy work schedule to read what you've been up to and whether you're nervous or not for your first match? Because I didn't. I didn't because it would've been a waste of time. I didn't because after I beat you, you won't be around for a second article or a third, or any other for that matter."
"You're seriously mistaken if you think I won't do everything in my power to win this match. I don't give a damn what these people think about me. It won't change the fact that I'm the biggest inspiration in their lives. The truth is, I'm a bad person. But I'm honest about it and that's what puts me ahead of everybody else in this industry. We're all bad people! None of us want to admit it, even when we're bashing each others skulls in! Me? I know who I am and I've accepted it. I am Your Hero and Mine and tonight, I'm going to drag the both of you down to the ground because you're standing in my way from my dream, from my goal. I've already conquered one division here in GOL and it's about time I conquer another. From Your Hero, and Mine."
The scene fades to black.
