A calm night on a desert plain in México. There’s nothing around but a very dim campfire light. Sitting next to it, we see a woman in a mask. She’s sitting with her legs crossed and her head up looking at the stars. She slowly lowers her head as she speaks quietly.
It’s a funny thing how it works, el destino. Some men think they have absolute control over their lives. Others think there’s an all mighty God that will protect them from harm as long and they keep him pleased.
Todos se equivocan. They’re all wrong.
Destiny is made of estrellas.
When someone is born, that person comes to life under a unique picture of the universe. A particular starlight, the position of a comet wandering the cosmos, of plants aligned in a peculiar way. However, those stars, those planets, that light that embraces us as we are born may be long gone. Most of the stars we see today have died hundreds of years ago. And they carry our destiny with them. We are bound to their fate, we are influenced by the sky. Everything we do or accomplish in our mortal lives is already written on the path of light that carries us from earth to our dead estrella. El destino.
This is my wisdom I pass on to you, GOL faithful. Know this and watch the sky carefully. Know what you were born to do.
I have seen my destiny. I’ve seen my opponent’s too. La Cucaracha, Príncipe Dragón, Sam Washintong, Tiger Mask… they will all fail at the end. They will all try hard to accomplish something they’re not meant for… glory.
If only they let me enlighten them… but they won’t listen. They think they can shape their futures, they think their gods… but they forget they are nothing more… than stardust.
Suddenly the campfire grows and the flames go wild for a second. Then they completely die, leaving everything dark. The woman is nowhere to be seen. The words “Lady Stardust is coming to GOL” appear on the screen. Fade out.
